Sparkplay Media comes to Visionology to develop core marketing design

28-Jul-09

Sparkplay Media is a game developer with a soon to be released game, Earth Eternal, already listed as one of the top 5 most popular online 3D rpg games, even before it's release.

Getting ready to launch their very ambitious and exciting new game, Earth Eternal, Sparkplay Media needed assistance in designing some of the key components of it's marketing campaign.

Visionology assisted in three ways. We designed the layout and code for their e-mail marketing campaign with an easy to use layout that is flexible enough for future use. We designed a viral microsite for their game who's goal was to show the comparison between it's competitors and show why Earth Eternal is the better choice for fun, action packed online 3D gaming. Finally we designed and developed the Flash based banners to be used in a marketing push to get the name out there even further and build up anticipation before the launch.

Work has been completed on Lockflow.com's new layout

03-Jun-09

Lockflow.com is a website devoted to the sport of mixed martial arts, delivering a diverse range of content for enthusiasts around the globe.

Lockflow.com has been growing and has outgrown it's current shoes. With new content added, different forms of advertising, and times changing they needed a look that was not only better looking but more user friendly.

With this project we started from the ground up, fleshing out the items that were most important first. We created distinct areas for the content, navigation, and advertising to visually distinguish them from one another. This helps in the separation.

The navigation was updated to be more obvious from a user's perspective and while advertising was now lessened from the previous design, it has a separate focus rather than just littering the page with ads.

The content was broken up into more distinct areas using a 2 rather than 3 column approach which we feel helps to lessen people straying away from the content areas. jQuery was used in select areas to shorten the page and make navigating areas such as the techniques more interactive and require less scrolling.

Lastly areas deemed less important to the scope of the main page were cut and saved for subpages where you can get more detailed on a specific topic. This new redesign should help Lockflow.com add content more efficiently and allow users to skim the content quicker to find what they need, giving them more time to read the content further down the line.
